This EP consists of a series of works created as background music for the exhibition "Jungle" by pixel artist Helmippe, which was held in 2020.
When I was asked to do the background music, the first piece I received was a black-and-white painting of figs drawn with pixels of different resolutions. It was digital art without color, but the moment I saw it, I felt its organic texture and "color".
Inspired by this, this group of works was constructed by switching between acoustic instruments and electronic sounds on the theme of analog and digital, reality and unreality.
本作は、2020年に開催されたピクセルアーティスト・ヘルミッペ氏の個展『密林』の会場音楽として制作した楽曲群を、一つの作品として再構成したものです。
BGMの依頼受ける際に資料として最初に頂いたのは、モノクロの解像度が異なるドットで描かれたイチジクの絵でした。無彩色のデジタルアートでしたが、見た瞬間に確かに有機的な質感と、”色”を感じました。
これにインスピレーションを受けた本作は、アナログとデジタル、現実と非現実といったワードをテーマに生楽器と電子音を切り替えながら構築した作品集です。
